INTEGRIS seeks a controls engineer with a broad technical background including PLC/HMI/SCADA programming, robitics, hardware selection and interfacing, and use of CAD tools.
Prefer 5+ years of experience.
The successful candidate will possess a diverse set of skills and interests and will serve on multiple project teams. Desired qualifications include:
CONTROLS
- PLC, HMI, SCADA programming
- Interfacing sensors and actuators
- Use of communication busses such as CAN and SSI
- Experience controlling hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of control theory, PID tuning, stability analysis
- Experience with a variety of controls hardware
- Component selection and BOM creation
- Power distribution
- Industrial robots
SOFTWARE TOOLS
- CODESYS, RMC Tools, EPLAN
- AutoCAD Electrical
- SolidWorks experience a plus
- MATLAB/Simulink experience a plus, especially modeling complex electromechanical systems
GENERAL
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Diverse interests and skill set, with an ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Mechanical and/or structural experience a plus
- Experience estimating and quoting projects
- FMEA and design reviews
- Familiarity with code compliance

LOCATION
Positions are available in East Peoria, IL
INTEGRIS Automation is looking to add a PROJECT MANEGER/TECHNICAL LEAD (PMP) to its automation group with a passion for new product development, problem solving, and exceeding expectations. Opportunities exist in our automation group. This position would be based in Peoria, IL.
The candidate can expect to work in a high-velocity and dynamic environment with a focus on quality and efficiency. Candidates are expected to work well in a team by contributing through their work product, supporting other team members and accepting support all under the premise that "you're not in it alone." Cultural expectations consist of integrity, honesty, consistency and above average communication skills. CORE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of BS in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Agricultural, etc.)
- Strong Mechanical Engineering skills and fundamentals (statics, dynamics, machine components, structures, FBD, etc.).
- Proficient with a modeling tool specifically in one of the following: SolidWorks (preferred), Creo, or Autodesk Tools (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
- Ability to think conceptually - need to understand the appropriate level of detail to create in models (CAD, abstract engineering models, engineering spreadsheets, FE models, etc.) to solve problems
- Candidate must display strong mechanical aptitude, creativity, project management, communication, and analytical skills
- Previous experience/interest in inland waterway cargo, grain/bulk material handling, barge operations, or agriculture industries a plus
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the new product development process, including inception, feasibility, project planning, detailed design, manufacturing, field implementation, testing, product launch, and field problem resolution
- Design new solutions for customer projects
- Modify and improve upon existing designs
- Create 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks
- Participate in brainstorming and concepting sessions
- Work independently and as part of the loadout solutions team
- Provide hands-on manufacturing technical support
- Write detailed reports

- MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Opportunities exist in our internal project teams and external service groups working across a wide range of industries. This position would be based in the Greater Peoria, IL area.

- Familiar with castings/forgings and weldments a plus

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project introduction with INTEGRIS team, and assist with quote preparation
- Participate in or host internal and customer kickoff meetings.
- Manage procurement processes: create and update procurement schedule and BOM spreadsheets, work with the purchasing department to procure needed components according to the procurement schedule, work with program manager to ensure project stays within material budget.
- Create and communicate project plan/action item list, delegate project tasks, work with team to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure final deliverables meet expectations set forth in the quote and receive customer sign off
TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY
- Machine building background required
- Familiarity or Proficiency preferred, but not required in the following:
- Industrial Process and Controls including Pressure, Flow, & Temperature of Oils/Fuels
- General High-Speed Data Acquisition terminologies and hardware functionality specifically regarding analog signals
- Knowledge of OE and Tier Production Manufacturing Facilities and Practices
- Familiar with the design cycle and the cradle-to-grave responsibilities
- Ability to wear multiple hats
- MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Design Tools (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD) preferred, but not required
